Urban Grow-Labs

The walls in loop's studio are already starting to sprout healthy squash blossoms. The variations on this theme are vast, reflecting the exciting world of creepers that can be introducted to the architecture. On the theme of food production and plant growth, the scope for underwater agri-techture could also include seaweed cultivation. Yes, it takes us on a detour from the urban environment, but still fun to imagine clouds of waving seaweeds taking anchor on the biowall!

Seaweed are most commonly found in the littoral zone and within that zone more frequently on rocky shores. A very common requirement is also to have a firm point of attachment.

Coral reefs form by growing on shipwrecks. They might get the same kind of support from underwater biowall! The possibilities are exciting to imagine.
