getting off the ground

We spent Friday afternoon in our offices with Rachel and Mathias weaving, eating and chatting about everything from channel 5 documentaries to geometry in nature to carbon nanotubes. Most of the people in the office had a go at weaving the biowall growing structures, a challenge at first to switch off our analytical researcher mode and into craft mode. We also planted our seeds and we are checking on our little seeds daily for any signs of a sprout. The growing structure in our window is already getting a lot of passers by stopping and looking, usually with a smile as it's quite a beautiful structure all on its own.
