Toilet rolls as pots, so the runner beans can be planted directly into pots/soil, which rot down as the plant grows, and keep more moisture around the roots.

I'm trying a copper coated fabric over the top of the peat free grow bag, to deter slugs and snails (the damage was prior to planting) Not sure this will work, and looks a bit like a pillow now!
